PROCESS: Journal of Professional Communication and English Studies (ISSN: 3109-1172) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal published by Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (P3M) Politeknik Negeri Padang (PNP). The journal serves as a premier platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate cutting-edge research that advances the understanding of communication and language in various professional contexts.

Focus and Scope Dedicated to the spirit of academic and practical inquiry, PROCESS aims to bridge the gap between theoretical language studies and effective, modern communication strategies. We invite high-quality submissions that offer novel insights, rigorous methodology, and significant theoretical or practical contributions. Our primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

  • English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and Vocational English

  • Professional and Corporate Communication

Open Access Policy PROCESS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are free for users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts, aligned with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Journal History PROCESS was established to address the growing need for specialized literature at the intersection of communication, English studies, and vocational applications. Managed under the rigorous standards of Politeknik Negeri Padang, the journal has evolved into a dedicated venue for both local and international scholars to explore language as a dynamic tool in professional ecosystems. The journal publishes three times a year (January, May, and September).

Archival System To ensure the long-term preservation and permanent availability of our published research, PROCESS utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. These systems permit those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
